The Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich -- National Grilled Cheese Day (Seriously!)

Okay, Tuesday afternoon, got tons of work to do and very little time to eat.  Do I grab some golden arches?  No.  Grilled cheese it is.  I wasn't going to post this because it was so simple, but my buddy requested I did.

Plus it's National Grilled Cheese Day.  Seriously.  Because everything you see on the internet is true.  Really.

So anyways, here it goes.

It's a sandwich in it's most basic form.  Of course you can add some bacon pieces or a few slices of ham in there... or even a couple slices of tomato, but if you did, it wouldn't be a grilled cheese sandwich would it?  No.

So these are the only three ingredients you need:
2 slices of bread (of course)
As much cheese as you want, I used sharp cheddar
A small chunk of butter

No... I did not use all that butter

That's it.  Simple.

Grab a nonstick pan and heat it up on medium low with a some butter and place your two slices of bread on it once the butter has melted.  You want both slices of bread to absorb some of that butter goodness.  Place some cheese on one slice and put the other slice over it.

Now wait for it to toast up a bit.  Add a bit more butter to the pan and place some cheese on top of the sandwich. Flip it over so the cheese is on the bottom now.  Then add more cheese to the top of the sandwich again.  It should take a minute to toast up on each side and get nice and crispy.  Flip it to crisp the cheese on this last side and you're set.  Lunch.
